Visiture is proud to announce that Spanx has been honored with the eTail Best-in-Class Award for Website Redesign of the Year. The award was presented at the Best-in-Class Awards Ceremony, Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at the eTail West 2018 conference in Palm Springs.
For the last six years, eTail has been honoring the best of the best of retailers with industry awards in innovation and excellence in eCommerce. eTail West is the longest-running conference dedicated to the eCommerce and omnichannel retail community. The judges are made up of a panel of retail industry peers who voted on their top picks in each category.
The Website Redesign of the Year Award recognizes the eCommerce site that has improved dramatically with a recent redesign that has translated into increased sales. Spanx unveiled its new website back in November of 2017. Designed and engineered by Visiture (formerly ExpandLab), the new website https://www.spanx.com was redesigned with profitability, effectiveness, and creativity top of mind.
The new site build-out using Magento 2 gave the brand’s developers and digital designers more control and functionality. Visiture also re-platformed a new ERP allowing the site to be built from the ground up with algorithms and logic-tailored specifically to Spanx’s direct-to-consumer needs to for the foreseeable future.

Beyond metrics and movement of product, another defining feature of the new website is the brand’s ability to showcase Sara Blakely’s life: events that support female entrepreneurs, volunteer comings and goings, and other stories that empower women and truly showcase the Spanx brand.
Spanx, Inc. was founded with $5,000 out of Sara Blakely’s apartment in the year 2000. Spanx went on to revolutionize the undergarment industry and became synonymous with an entire category through groundbreaking innovation and a focus on comfort. The brand secured its place in women’s hearts and in pop-culture history with daily mentions everywhere, from CNN to SNL.
Today, Spanx offers a variety of everyday solutions, including bras, tights, leggings, pants, and activewear. The company remains committed to its larger mission of helping women. Sara signed the Gates/Buffet Giving Pledge, agreeing to donate half her wealth to charity. She was also named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.
Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, Spanx currently operates 10 retail stores in the United States and its online website Spanx.com, and it is found in high-end department stores around the world, from Neiman Marcus to Harrods in London. Spanx is currently sold in more than 50 countries worldwide.
